DAY 1. Wednesday 29.05.2019
Elsass (Alsace) to Lake Garda
This special itinerary commences in Elsass (Alsace) in north-eastern France. This morning we will leave Alsace to drive towards Austria. Along the way we will stop for lunch at Hotel Plankenhof in Pill, located in the heart of the Austrian Tyrol. After lunch the journey will take you over the very scenic Brenner Pass towards Lake Garda, the gem of Northern Italy. Sit back, relax and enjoy the wonderful scenery.
On arrival you can check into your hotel near Lake Garda before enjoying a welcome drink and meeting your tour guide (travel companion) for an overview of the exciting itinerary that lies ahead. This is your time to ask any questions you may have.

DAY 2. Thursday 30.05.2019 (Ascension Thursday)
Garden of Segurta – Bardolino
After breakfast at your hotel you will meet with your travel companion and set off on a full-day excursion to Segurta and Bardolino. Our first stop will be the beautiful Gardens of Segurta before we move on to enjoy lunch on an Agritourismo farm. Expect a farm-fresh lunch featuring local specialties.
This afternoon our tour continues to the historic village of Bardolino where we will join a guided tour of the historic town before visiting some vineyards and enjoying a wine tasting at the cellar. Afterwards you will be served a delicious dinner accompanied by local wine.
We will drive you back to your hotel at the end of dinner.
DAY 3. Friday 31.05.2019
Grotto of Catullo and Boat Trip on Lake Garda
Before setting off for another exciting day tour with your travel companion you can enjoy breakfast at your hotel. Today you will drive towards the resort town of Sirmione on the south shore of Lake Garda. At Sirmione we will stop to visit the famous Grotto of Catullo, an archaeological site which dates back to the 1stcentury BC.
After touring the grottoes it will be time for lunch and a (non-alcoholic) drink at a local restaurant, before you set off to enjoy a scenic boat trip on the lake. (Snacks and music included).
At the end of your busy day you will be driven back to your hotel.

DAY 4. Saturday 01.06.2019
Olive Museum of Cisano and romantic Verona
Today your tour guide will join you on another all-day excursion to Cisano and Verona.
Our first stop is the Olive Museum in Cisano, where you can take a (free) tour to see the entire process of turning fresh olives into olive oil. They have a good shop where you can taste products before buying and they will carefully wrap your purchases for travel. From Cisano we will continue our drive to romantic Verona, which is famously the setting for Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”. After lunch in a Verona restaurant we will so some city sight-seeing and visit the third-largest surviving Roman amphitheatre. Now you will have some free time for shopping!
In the late afternoon we will drive back to your hotel.

DAY 5. Sunday 02.06.2019
Lake Garda – Tyrol – Alsace (Elsass)
This morning we start the drive back to Alsace after breakfast at the hotel. Although the tour is over you can still look forward to admiring the beautiful landscape of Italy and Tyrol. We will once again stop at Hotel Plankenhof in Pill for lunch before continuing on our journey back to the Alsace (Elsass).
